Utilizou-se o referencial teórico metodológico de Scoping Review como um recorte com objetivo de examinar a realidade da literatura primária global e atual para apoiar a tomada de decisão informada por evidências científicas à reemergência das arboviroses, especialmente a febre da Dengue e aos atuais surtos e mudanças em sua epidemiologia no Brasil, bem como para compreender a adoção, abordagens e potencialidades das ações de informação, educação e comunicação em saúde para prevenção da Dengue e o controle vetorial em países com áreas de risco. Realizouse a busca de referências em oito bases de dados. Dos 1406 artigos baixados das bases de dados, 1244 eram duplicadas ou não foram publicados em 2018 e 2019. 162 artigos foram obtidos. Aplicando-se os critérios de exclusão pela leitura de título e resumo, excluíram-se 87. Isto posto, 75 artigos foram considerados dados primários potencialmente relevantes. Entretanto, durante a leitura de texto completo, 2 publicações foram excluídas. Os dados foram extraídos e categorizados para 73 artigos de pesquisa primária relevantes em inglês, espanhol ou português. Os 73 estudos selecionados representam os esforços científicos de 59 instituições de saúde pública e de 240 Universidades e/ou Centros de Pesquisa. Denota-se que as ações para prevenção e controle vetorial não têm influenciado os comportamentos, atitudes e práticas. Percebe-se apontamentos ao despreparo profissional, propagação da doença pela mobilidade humana, cocirculação, impactos econômicos e resistência dos vetores à inseticidas, além de tendências em não considerar os saberes e práticas comunitários e populares, bem como a participação.
