In the Brazilian educational scenario, transvestite and transsexual teachers are increasingly visible, and cause repercussions generally related to the prejudice and discrimination they suffer. This text investigates the pedagogical and educational consequences of the presence of transvestite and transsexual teachers in the classroom. Following the careers of a group of these teachers in several states of Brazil, we tried to identify the elements that characterize their action in the classroom, and reached the proposition of the "high heels pedagogy". In this pedagogical modality two strong elements are combined, being a woman and being a teacher. The "high heels pedagogy" is about an educational activity that evades the traditional bodiless and sexless figure of the teacher. Some degree of eroticism and woman production that "inhabits" the teacher, far from "misrepresent" the space of the classroom, can give a power of friendship and affection. This power affects produces a more qualified teacher and professional involved with their work. A woman who is assumed as an "adult reference" to the young students. Durante dois anos, estabeleceu-se um regime de acompanhamento de três casais que vivem na região metropolitana de Porto Alegre, envolvendo entrevistas e observação participante. Foi possível perceber o complexo jogo de adesão e resistência ao modelo heteronormativo de conjugalidade, produzindo uma agonística de forte tensão. Dois elementos se destacam nas estratégias de aliança entre esses casais: certa circulação de atributos de masculinidade e feminilidade entre as travestis e seus maridos e um conjunto de disposições que ordenam a vida sexual, reificando as tradicionais expectativas de gênero e evitando performances que possam lembrar a relação das travestis com seus clientes na prostituição. Partindo-se da premissa de que a saúde do homem é resultante de uma série de questões de ordens socioculturais, considerou-se que a comunicação é elemento central para promover a saúde do referido público. Assim, investigou-se, a partir da literatura, da análise de dados secundários e de entrevistas com agentes estratégicos do Brasil e da província de Quebec, no Canadá, se de fato a comunicação ocupa um lugar de destaque na formulação das estratégias para a saúde do homem. O estudo incorpora elementos metodológicos diversos, como estudos de caso, a Hermenêutica-dialética de Gadamer, entrevistas em profundidade, análise do discurso do sujeito coletivo e revisões de literatura. Todos eles norteados pelos estudos comparados, que conduzem a pesquisa-mãe à qual este trabalho se vincula. Os resultados, dispostos num conjunto de quatro artigos científicos, mostram que os sujeitos entrevistados destacam a comunicação como fundamental para promover a saúde dos homens no Brasil e também em Quebec. Porém, chega-se à conclusão de que a realidade não encontra correspondência entre os discursos e a prática, sendo a comunicação relegada a segundo plano e empreendida sem bases teóricas ou métodos de planejamento em comunicação em saúde. Eleven nurses working in rural areas participated in the study. Data were collected through interviews with semi-structured scripts and submitted to content analysis. Results: The study revealed that nurses working in rural areas have experienced job satisfaction with the recognition and gratitude of families, one of the major motivations for professionals interviewed. The nurses are committed and have adequate training in their area of activity. The working conditions, infrastructure, forms of access to the workplace and distance from the decision center are factors that stand out as difficulties of work. Conclusions: The nurses appreciate each other in their work, establish good relations with the population and work as a team despite the difficulties. The study reveals that nurses and the population experience isolation in the rural area as well as difficulty in accessing the workplace, in the case of practitioners, and in consolidating policies maintained in the urban area. It evidences the nurse as an essential element for PHC in the rural setting, which can make the difference in the care of populations often in the sideline of health services." Utilizou-se o referencial teórico metodológico de Scoping Review como um recorte com objetivo de examinar a realidade da literatura primária global e atual para apoiar a tomada de decisão informada por evidências científicas à reemergência das arboviroses, especialmente a febre da Dengue e aos atuais surtos e mudanças em sua epidemiologia no Brasil, bem como para compreender a adoção, abordagens e potencialidades das ações de informação, educação e comunicação em saúde para prevenção da Dengue e o controle vetorial em países com áreas de risco. Realizouse a busca de referências em oito bases de dados. Dos 1406 artigos baixados das bases de dados, 1244 eram duplicadas ou não foram publicados em 2018 e 2019. 162 artigos foram obtidos. Aplicando-se os critérios de exclusão pela leitura de título e resumo, excluíram-se 87. Isto posto, 75 artigos foram considerados dados primários potencialmente relevantes. Entretanto, durante a leitura de texto completo, 2 publicações foram excluídas. Os dados foram extraídos e categorizados para 73 artigos de pesquisa primária relevantes em inglês, espanhol ou português. Os 73 estudos selecionados representam os esforços científicos de 59 instituições de saúde pública e de 240 Universidades e/ou Centros de Pesquisa. Denota-se que as ações para prevenção e controle vetorial não têm influenciado os comportamentos, atitudes e práticas. Percebe-se apontamentos ao despreparo profissional, propagação da doença pela mobilidade humana, cocirculação, impactos econômicos e resistência dos vetores à inseticidas, além de tendências em não considerar os saberes e práticas comunitários e populares, bem como a participação.
